Wet ground, semi damp wood, and it started it right up. Light weight so good for backpacking. Did everything I hoped it would. Recommended if you need to start a fire fast in even lousy conditions.

These are just what you see. No real need to buy them online as you can find them almost any department store with a camping section but at least they aren't a rip-off. I usually only need to use half of one stick to get a fire going so they seem to last a while.
