I've had a lot of beach chairs over the years. There are many to choose from but this is the lightest, most compact I've seen (and I'm picky). The mesh material keeps your back from sweating too much, lets water from your bathing suit drain off so you dry faster and you're not sitting on wet fabric and lets all the beach sand fall through. When the chair is collapsed, the arms double as adjustable backpack-type arm straps. An attached narrow bungie cord keeps the pillow straped in place and everything folded up. Best of all, you can almost open the chair with one hand (in case you don't want your towel to get sandy) and collapsed it's only 6"W x 36"L. It's made of aluminum so it's extremely light. It also comes with a nylon storage cover (legs are exposed but not a big deal) which has a good sized zipper compartment for your towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, etc.

the way this chair is supposed to work is that metal support slips into a sewn pocket on tne underside of the arm rest. I put assembled the chair as soon as it arrived. the material on the arm rest tore because it was not cut or sewn correctly.
A notice inside the box alerts the buyer to call the company rather than return the product to the seller. I called the distributor and was told the item was out of stock and that I could either call back next year or return it to the seller. the customer service person was not pleasant either.
